Spencer is not only a master craftsman and artist, but a true professional. He pours his full artistic knowledge and integrity to his work while remaining steadfastly devoted to his clients’ unique vision. Working with him was as much a pleasure as it is to enjoy the final product.   He brought our ideas to life in such a way that not only matched, but exceeded our expectations entirely. The Sacred Heart Statue that now stands on the Benedictine College campus is sure to move and captivate our visitors for years to come.

We couldn’t have asked for a better tribute to our founder, Joel A. Montgomery. Spencer did an amazing job at capturing his personality through only photos. Spencer and Ryann could not have been easier to work with making the process seamless from beginning to end. They are highly recommended to anyone who inquires on the bust which they delivered and beautifully displayed in the lobby of our bank.

Spencer is the consummate professional. When we began our process to find the right fit for the Bill Snyder Monument, we were not certain if we would find someone to fit all of our needs. But when we came across Spencer’s work, it became very clear that we had found the perfect match. His attention to detail is unmatched, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the finished product.

Prior to my work with E.S. Schubert Studio Sculpture Studios, I had no experience working with a sculptor or with commissioning a unique work of art. Spencer and Ryann made the process remarkably easy from start to finish and were always willing to invite me into the studio to discuss the project. I would recommend their work to anyone, and hope that I have occasion to commission a sculpture in the future so that I can work with them again.

It was at our first meeting that we saw the energy and excitement Spencer had for helping us design and make a sculpture. We looked no further, as he was our guy!

Our biggest excitement was the day we drove to KC to check out the 98% complete sculpture and realized the detail on the sculpture. To even show the thread weave patterns of the suspenders and the rivets of the bunker pants – we were in awe. Spencer and his family made us feel like they were part of our Fire Department family. I hope he realizes he is part of our Fire Department family through the connection of his hard work to make our dream come true.

The experience of working with Spencer could not have been better. Through his imagination he developed a concept for the piece, and each step through the process he solicited suggestions and was very open to my comments. He went above and beyond to please me as the client and was a principal in the installation of the work. I highly recommend Spencer for his talent and dedication to the project. Hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to work with him again.

E. Spencer Schubert is a true professional artist and a pleasure to work with. He keeps his client’s vision the center of his focus while utilizing his immense creative talents to capture real-life in every sculpture. His portrait bust of Dred Scott which adorns the the Missouri State Capitol expresses the stoic pain of sacrifice and honor. We are looking forward to his next contribution to our state’s history.
