Coach Bud Lathrop

This portrait was created at the request of a number of former Raytown South High School basketball players. Their former coach, Bud Lathrop, is the most winning high school basketball coach in Missouri, and seventh in the nation. Coach Lathrop attended the unveiling in the Spring of 2018 and afterwards sent us the most thoughtful note about the sculpture. He is beloved by his players and his likeness now stands outside the high school gym to continue to inspiring Cardinal athletes.
