War Torn Tree

The most complicated, and thus rewarding, part of this sculpture was creating a texture that paid tribute to the real war-torn tree that the Chemical Corps’ logo is based on, while at the same time respecting the materials and limitations of bronze sculpture. The war-torn tree is the central sculpture of the U.S. Army Chemical Corps’ memorial grove at Fort Leonard Wood. It plays a significant role in their ceremonies and we are incredibly honored to have created it.
